Tower of Fantasy — Beginner's Guide
What Tower of Fantasy is about
Tower of Fantasy is a free-to-play open-world action RPG. You explore a large map, fight enemies in real-time combat, and collect Simulacra (characters) and their weapons, which define your playstyle. The core loop is simple: complete story and exploration, gather resources, upgrade your gear and weapons, then take on tougher content like world bosses, dungeons, and co-op raids.
Unlike pure gacha games, much of your power comes from Matrices and gear you farm, so steady play matters as much as lucky pulls.
Your first goals
Focus your early hours on progression that compounds later:
- Follow the main story first — it unlocks systems, fast travel, and free rewards as you go.
- Open exploration points and chests. They hand out upgrade materials and pull currency for free.
- Build a small, focused team of 3 weapons covering different damage types and roles rather than spreading resources thin.
- Raise your gear (relics and equipment) evenly so your stats stay balanced; don't dump everything into one slot.
- Spend stamina/energy daily on the activities that drop the materials you actually need.
Common beginner mistakes
- Pulling on every banner. Save your premium pull currency for a weapon or Simulacrum you genuinely want and will build around.
- Hoarding upgrade materials forever. Using them on your main team now makes the whole game easier; you'll farm more.
- Ignoring Matrices. The set bonuses on your equipped weapons are a major power source many new players overlook.
- Rushing past side content. Early side quests and exploration are some of the best free rewards in the game.
Progress efficiently
Log in for your daily and weekly tasks — they give consistent rewards with little time investment. Prioritize unlocking the map and clearing story milestones, since both gate useful systems. When you finally pull, do it with a plan: one strong main weapon you invest in fully beats several half-built ones.
Take your time learning the combat dodge and weapon-swap rhythm; mastering it lets a modest account clear content that out-muscles a poorly played stronger one.
